Taren coached me through one of those transformative parts of my career - midlevel to Vice President - and then again last year when COVID was taking toll on my personal and professional life. Taren's style, passion and excellence in coaching comes through every session. I learned about holding myself accountable to my own goals with the same dedication and passion I had for my work, family, friends, etc.
When you are ready to make change - real change - in your professional and/or personal life, call Taren first.

I am the happiest I’ve ever been in my life. My cup is so, so full. I went to write a “new moon letter” on the last new moon, and realized that for the first time, there was nothing that I wanted; I felt so deeply satisfied and joyful in my life. I am simply overwhelmed with gratitude.

I worked with Taren for two years. My experience with her leading up to this moment was pivotal for breaking through long held belief systems and barriers, for awakening me to my own potential and possibility, for allowing the full experience of joy.

To look at where I’m at now vs. where I was 2 years ago when we started our work together is astounding. Over those two years I re-invented my relationship to myself in multiple ways: in my self image, in my relationships, and as an entrepreneur and artist, especially within my photography business.

With Taren’s support, I made some major financial breakthroughs, including one where I earned a six-figure commission for a single project, which I was the lead creative. I also booked gigs in London, Italy and pursued passion projects that had previously stalled.

When I first started working with Taren, I told her I wanted to be a mother, which I now am. I have cultivated the most loving and nourishing friendships in my new community in Hudson. I have an incredible support system in the mama community both locally (and nationally through the support group that I am now deeply involved in), went through a long and very difficult birth (36 hours of labor, 2 failed epidurals and 4 hours of pushing) that I carried huge fears about but ultimately felt so empowered by (and was prepared for!), and my partner Sam and I have never been more aligned and supportive of each other.

The birth of my son, River, was a rebirth for me. The final piece of this evolution.
And now I’m a mother, thriving, exactly where and who I want to be.

Before I began coaching with Taren, I felt stuck in a seemingly insurmountable rut. I had lost my passion for pursuits that once brought me joy—acting and writing—and felt fresh out of ideas on how to move forward. I was burned out in every life category: professional, creative, social, and personal. I didn't know what to do, who I was, or where to go next.

My work with Taren felt like a spring clean for my entire life. Taren will not only help you haul out the gunk and clutter of your old assumptions to give you a clear view of what you genuinely want, she will also offer you an arsenal of nimble and creative tools to use along your way.

I can’t overstate the profundity of this experience. Taren is a master teacher in the oldest sense; she’s a true guide, whose insights challenge your foundational assumptions and wrench you free of whatever is holding you down. We talk all the time about “thinking outside of the box”; Taren shows you the box around your life you didn’t even realize existed, tears down its walls and invites you into the vast landscape of possibility beyond. And she does all of this with humor, precision, and (sometimes tough) love. It’s not an easy experience—but it’s one of the most rewarding mentorships and collaborations I’ve ever had.

Working with Taren helped me overhaul my entire life. I now live in a city I love and am reinvigorated in my pursuits, which have expanded to whole new areas—from writing and acting, to producing and directing films. If you’re in need of a serious life change and are not sure where to begin, I couldn’t recommend Big Time more highly.

I started coaching with Taren and although it was outside my comfort zone in many ways I'm so thankful I chose in! I've been on a journey of personal growth for many, many years and what I've learned from Taren has been some of the most impactful work I've done.  A lot of the books, seminars and courses I've taken bring about an awareness of some disconnect or block I have.

Taren has a knack for getting underneath those old stories/beliefs kind of like using a crowbar to dislodge a boulder that has fallen and blocked the path.  By myself I don't think I would have ever got what I've got from this experience.  Life it meant to be lived but I wasn't living it... I was coasting and letting the wind blow me in various directions.

With Taren's help I have a renewed vision and can see and feel the difference from when I started working with her 10 months ago.  Taren's passion and steadfast approach has helped me turn a 10 year old idea into something tangible, she helped me to find ways to treat myself with more kindness and compassion.  It's been a bumpy year with everything that's happening in the world and I could have chosen to keep coasting through it and been "okay".  But I would have missed out on so much if I had taken that familiar path...  I wouldn't have written my story that's been rattling around in my idea pile for 10 years... I wouldn't have gone out and performed my stand up comedy... I wouldn't have a new relationship with me.

Thanks for the patience and wisdom you've shared.  I'm beginning to be the person I've dreamed of.

Tim, thank you so much for your work with me! I had never tried coaching before I met you and it turned out to be deeply transformative.
I would like to encourage other people who are curious about working with a coach not to be afraid and just jump in with both feet!

Through my work with you, I learned to be more open minded and willing to listen to creative and constructive criticism from others. Through the exercises you provided and assisted me with, I was able to re-frame negative views of myself and tap into my potential. I’ve also learned that I need to save more of my inner strength for me, instead of only giving it away to others.

Your lack of judgment, your compassion, and your appreciation of each individual for who they are as fully--formed, beautiful, beings is one of the many gifts you bring to your clients.

Having had chiropractic coaching previously, I was impressed that Tim comes from a broader perspective. He was interested in me, where I was at, where I wanted to take my life, family and practice.

Tim possesses the skills that drew out my deep held purposes and goals in each area of life and allowed me to set a plan of action to make them happen. He has a great balance of letting me set the pace, agenda and goals--but is also willing to challenge me when I am not stepping up to the plate or deflecting from the real truth.

Tim’s coaching has provided me with the freedom to discover what my true goals are and pursue them with freedom and ownership.

On a side note, Tim got me to look at holidays differently, I now own a caravan and my wife and I take many weekend trips. We’re eager to get back to them when the state allows us to travel again.

You know when you meet someone and you just know that they have magical powers? You can see it in their twinkly eyes?  That’s Taren.

I first met Taren at an ironically interesting time of my life. I was the “Experience Manager” for a major venue, making other people happy all the time, and on the inside I was having the most terrible experience doing it. I was doing a really fun dance of being miserable about everything. I had a long to- do list of thigs I wanted to do that never got done and a long list of things I didn’t want to-do that always got done.

Through working with Taren, I rediscovered myself—my own super powers and my purpose. Through our sessions together, Taren guided me, as I re-contextualized my life and started to do more of things I wanted to do.

One of my goals was to finish writing a cabaret piece. Shortly after working with Taren, I started writing sessions with a coach and the cabaret quickly morphed into a fully original one woman show. By the end of my sessions with Taren, I finally got to type words I had never typed before, “THE END.”

Taren has this amazing way of seeing you for all that you are on the inside and not only that, through various methods, she helps you see yourself and your life that way—from the inside out.

I left every session feeling empowered with tangible practices and new lenses to see my life through. I was no longer at the mercy of my own reactions.
She has given me the gift of tools to create and choose my own experience of myself and of my life.

I no longer need to worry about the future or obsess about the past, because I choose to trust in how I live in the now with my commitment to myself and my word. Even in the midst of a pandemic.

That magic she has, she taught me how to find it in myself and enjoy the experience of living from it.

When I started working with Taren, I was in a loving relationship, had an intellectually fulfilling job, a sweet dog, healthy parents, wonderful friends and lived in NYC, the city in which I had always dreamed of making my life.  I had it all!  I should feel whole!

But in all my striving and pushing to achieve various milestones of success, there were unhelpful patterns that regularly bogged me down and I had long unanswered questions that were begging for my attention.  For years, probably even decades, I put my head down, and every time those unresolved issues reared their little heads, I would avoid them or shut them up by telling myself, “you have enough, you are so fortunate, why are you greedy instead of being grateful?”

In our first session together, Taren said, “so what if we use this time together to explore what you can create?”  Wow.  I had long thought that wanting more out of my professional and personal life were signs that I was an ungracious, grasping complainer.  Shifting my thinking towards possibility was key.  Working with Taren helped me to change those destructive thoughts and instead open my mind to new possibilities and ways of being.  She helped me feel empowered and capable to confront any difficult situation.

Together, we explored so many tools that now feel like second nature because we talked about them, I practiced them and we checked in every week.  We tackled many different projects – the role I play in professional situations, patterns of taking on other people’s emotions, breaking off codependence in relationships, how to be comfortable in the face of uncertainty, how to draw clear and decided lines about what I believe and want, ways to incorporate more humor and joy into every day, recognizing my relationship with control and power and taking responsibility to stop feeling sorry for myself for past tragedies and disappointment.  I left those conversations with clarity, levity, perspective and hope.  Taren challenged me and guided me in a way that a self-help book never could.

I now have a mental toolbox that I can use any time my old patterns crop up.  And they do!  But I feel confident that I know how to recognize them, and I also know how to try something different.  Working with Taren is like giving yourself a lifelong inner resource so that whatever you face, you can use your hard-earned skillset to work your way through it.  I am confident in my ability to navigate anything.  I have a new job that I like even more than the last, my relationships are stronger than ever and I feel that there are limitless possibilities ahead.  (I still have the same sweet adorable dog but also added a second pup – another enhancement!)

More important, I’m no longer waiting for an outside power to tell me that I have achieved, that I am enough.  That is something that I feel within.  I’m proud that I pushed the upper limits of possibility and was fortunate enough to experience Taren’s generosity, thoughtfulness and insight.

The best advice I received and put to action was to invest in myself. To treat myself as the professional entity that I am and you are, and put the proper resources behind it.

The end of 2018 met me with a change in work and that to-do item I had on my list for so long had to be prioritized. Doing my due diligence of asking my network about various coaches that will help me meet professional and personal goals, led me to Taren. From the moment we spoke there was clarity, exploration and accountability. Just like that, I said yes to our partnership.

Over the course of a few months like anthropologists, we dug in and explored my current professional and personal framework, and from there determined the roadmap necessary to ensure goals were met.

Once the work was done I had clarity and an updated toolkit to make the necessary (and bold) career pivot I wanted. And to do so successfully. The tools are still sharp and leveraged on a regular basis to continue this amazing trajectory on a clear and exciting path.

Thank you Taren for being an investment that has continued to pay off in multiple ways!

Before I started working with Taren and Big Time Coaching, my relationships were not thriving, my acting career felt stuck, I was struggling to bring in more money. I was searching for a feeling of control over my life, and burying my unhappiness deep inside.

I was constantly reading books about personal growth, but I wasn't feeling any movement. I knew I wanted to make changes, and I believed that more was possible, but I didn't know what that was or where to start.

And then I met Taren.

She was my very first improv teacher and she was phenomenal. Even inside her classes, I knew that she was someone who saw me. I felt safe with her and challenged at the same time.

And so after our Improv classes ended, we started our coaching sessions. She made it clear to me that the changes I was searching for would be found in taking bigger risks, and investing in myself in ways that felt unfamliar.

Immediately after Taren and I started working together, I started booking more acting work. In fact, the day I signed our contract, I booked a commercial. (It's natural for me to write that off as coincidence, but it's astounding to me how many things like this keep happening.) I began saying yes to opportunities that were outside my comfort zone-- and then new opportunities just appeared out of thin air.

The second was the opportunity to rent a bigger apartment in a Brooklyn neighborhood that was way more conducive to my work and family life. I live there now and have had zero trouble paying rent since day one.

I still fall back into old patterns of worry and fear. As a freelancer, I become afraid that the money from my business will one day just stop coming in. But I keep having these breakthroughs in my coaching sessions about money and control, self-worth, self-care.

The relationship I've built with myself on the inside has had physical proof that it's working on the outside. I've booked five commercials to the day since signing with Taren.

I take better care of myself. I invest more time into myself. And I feel more trust and deeper connections with my family and friends.

I feel more like myself, in the way that I did as a little kid. With WAY more agency, actually, so I'm having more fun as an adult, even with things like taxes...

I used to say that Taren changed my life. But really, she helped me identify the obstacles that I've been putting in my own way for years and years, that I was ready to see. And come up with my own way of dealing with them. And with that fresh new perspective, I changed my life. It feels like it's mine again. And I can't wait to see what's next.

I had the opportunity of working with Tim last year. This was the first time working with a coach.

I wanted to gain a better understanding about myself; my goals, my hopes, my fears, my disappointments and successes. With Tim I was able to uncover the false-truths I told myself, the excuses I manifested and the false beliefs I had conditioned myself to believe.

It was amazing to learn the joy and playfulness I craved in my career and to feel empowered to step into the fear instead of staying in my comfort zone. Our sessions were a wonderful experience and I eagerly awaited our sessions each week to share my breakthroughs and insights from the projects we created.

Thanks to Tim, the journey for me continues to get better, having a growth mindset and enjoying the beauty of being in the moment.

One of the powerful lessons I learned from my experience is: perfection doesn't exist, the road to our goals is never straightforward but keep moving forward.

Before I started working with Taren, I felt stuck. I was unhappy and couldn't figure out how to get myself out of that hole. After six months of coaching with Taren, I just landed my dream job at NYU, I've seen huge changes in my personal life, and most importantly, I'm happy to be me again. She changed my life.

I knew from the first class I took with Taren that she was blessed with a special gift. She has an unmatched ability to see through your outer shield and touch your soul.

When I first started working with Taren I was miserable – and I knew there was something wrong.  I was in a toxic work environment, in a city I had grown to despise, finding ways to be “busy” so I didn’t have to sit with the hard stuff.  Life was happening to me, and I was living in reaction to it.

During our work together, new opportunities kept appearing around every corner.  Taren gave me the nudge I needed to take advantage of each of them.  I left my toxic job, met the love of my life, moved to Cape Town, South Africa, was hired as the CEO of a growing women’s health startup in New York and I’m expecting our first child in summer 2020.

It’s tough to lead others, and make decisions necessary in business, without being able to lead, understand and make decisions for yourself first.  This was an important lesson from Taren – a lesson that drove my own personal growth.  It’s amazing to see my personal work now coming to life in my professional career.

Taren has a style unique to executive coaching.  She’s comforting and challenging,  compassionate yet firm.  She won’t give you the answers, but she will support and guide you to find them on your own. Through her guidance I understood more about myself and my goals, got my confidence back, my self-worth back, recalibrated my measures of value and success and increased my awareness of choosing from a place of scarcity and fear.

Don’t be fooled.  Working on yourself is hard work.  It’s sometimes uncomfortable and happens at your pace. But Taren provides the leadership and guidance necessary to live the big bold life you know deep-down is possible.

By the time I hit middle age, I was accustomed to a certain stability in work, home and relationships. Always enough money in the bank and trips abroad for letting off steam. But there was still my one unfulfilled dream of being a screenwriter, something I picked up every few years and then put aside for whatever reason. Familiar, right?

To me, coaching was for over-ambitious, soulless people you see on a Peloton commercial. But deep down I knew I needed to stop thinking about my dreams and start living them. When would I move beyond good enough and do something bigger?

Which brings me to Taren, whom I first met in improv class. When the opportunity to work with her as a coach came up, it just felt right. Taren has a certain compassion and talent for seeing you for who you are — I knew my fear of being belittled or talked down to was not going to be part of the coaching experience with Taren.

Even before our first call it felt like a new project my life was screaming for. And it was fun! Scary stuff came up for sure, and the assignments sometimes seemed daunting. But what a rush you get when you’re doing the work and reflecting on the experience with Taren.

Things just started to happen weeks into it. Life at the office changed, as I found myself being more honest with colleagues; the honesty and trust came right back at me. Same for personal relationships. And the writing — I reached out to colleagues from past workshops and before long I was in a writers’ group that gave me regular structure. I finished my TV pilot script and had a reading with actors. I’m working on two more projects. I have a long way to go but finally understand that showing up every day is the key.

We’ll always have an excuse to fall back into our old ways, whether a bad hair day or a global pandemic. But the foundation I got from working with Taren pays off for me constantly.
