OUR APPROACH

Fundamentally, coaching is a formal structure for a creative process. It is a science and an art. It's a proven method for change and an intentional act of transformation.

​Coaching conversations are high-level, future-focused, and inquiry-based, exploring the client's desired outcomes, both short and long term. Coaching conversations are also facilitative to provide the necessary structure, momentum and accountability for goals and projects to reach fulfillment.

The following is a general guideline for the coaching process over the duration of a coaching engagement for individuals and teams.



VISION: Explore what you want to create from your values as individual, leader, team and company.

GOALS: Build your short and long term projects based on your desired vision of success.
MEANING: Explore why your projects and goals are important and worthy of your attention and effort.
STRENGTHS: Recognize your inherent gifts, talents and skills, and amplify them.

EMOTIONAL IQ: Develop your leadership empathy, as well as inter-personal and intra-personal effectiveness.
BUILD AWARENESS: Create insights, perspectives and context to attach new actions to create new results.
STRUCTURES: Identify technologies and systems that keep you engaged, organized and energized.
SOLUTIONS: Focus on what IS working, possibility, and reframing problems into opportunities.

MEASUREMENTS: Target meaningful milestones to track progress, learnings and breakthroughs.

​ACCOUNTABILITY: Develop personal and professional communities, structures to support your leadership integrity.

Big Time Assessments: Big Time uses a variety of proprietary and customized assessments to support your coaching process, depending upon your needs and circumstances of your life and business. Assessment exercises provide information that can enhance self-awareness, as well as awareness of others and their circumstances/challenges; provide a benchmark for creating coaching goals and actionable strategies; and offer a method for evaluating your progress, both ontologically and in facilitating your goals.

Big Time Tools: Concepts, models and principles drawn from the behavioral sciences, performance management, leadership principles and best practices, traditional and cutting edge technologies, spiritual traditions and/or the arts and humanities may be incorporated into the coaching conversation and practices to increase your self-awareness, skills, perspectives, insights, frameworks, opportunities, challenges, and actions. Big Time Approach: We incorporate an ontological approach (the study of "being") with facilitative methods (the "doing"), grounded in what's working, what's wanted, and what's needed to get "there." Using an ontological approach, Big Time models effective communication skills and methods to enhance your personal communication effectiveness. Big Time will also incorporate discovery-based inquiry, proactive (as opposed to reactive) ways of managing personal opportunities and challenges, constructive framing of observations and feedback to elicit the most positive responses from you and others.
